Abstract
In this presentation, we give a report on the status of runaway electron modelling in the EU Integrated Modelling (EU-IM) framework. One of the tools used in EU-IM is the European Transport Simulator workflow (ETS). ETS has a fluid code implemented (Runaway Fluid), which uses simple analytical formulae to estimate the runaway electron population [1]. We have imported Asdex Upgrade experimental data using EU-IM tools. This is used in ETS to model massive gas injection (MGI) disruptions. Initial results will be presented on predictive simulation of shot #33108 with massive argon injection. Interfacing of the NORSE code and implementation of the most recent analytical formulae on runaway generation rates [2,3] to the Runaway Fluid is in progress. Comparison of reduced kinetic model with kinetic simulation using the Runaway electron test workflow will be also reported. [1] G.I.
