Abstract
INDEX 1.5D simulations have been applied to JET disruption scenarios to model shattered pellet injections. A synthetic diagnostic framework has been developed to generate bolometry signals based on the simulated radiation profiles, enabling direct comparison with experimental measurements. The framework, implemented in Python and compatible with INDEX outputs, was created. Application to selected JET discharges provides synthetic bolometry data for systematic analysis alongside experimental observations. This development supports benchmarking of INDEX simulations against experimental diagnostics and integration with higher-dimensional modeling efforts such as JOREK and emis3D.
